A big warm welcome to Pepa Tots Nursery class. In our nursery, we offer the perfect start to your child’s educational life, where children are encouraged to explore, concentrate, persist and develop their thinking. We understand how important the early years are for children’s growth and development. Through play, both inside and outside the classroom, our children develop skills such as: social, physical, communication, thinking and self-management.

At our nursery, we aim to provide a safe, inviting and nurturing environment to enable children to develop a love of learning which they will carry for a lifetime. Our environment is colourful, stimulating and continuously changing to spark children’s enthusiasm and interest, showing that no two days are the same.

We follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. This programme gives our children a distinct advantage by building their critical thinking skills, nurturing their curiosity and their ability to solve complex problems. Lifelong learning begins with a child’s innate curiosity, questioning, and wondering about the world around them. By learning through inquiry and by reflecting on their own learning, our children develop knowledge and conceptual understandings that build the ability to transfer their knowledge into new situations and apply it to new contexts. The PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in school and in the world beyond.

We also follow ‘Development Matters’ in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS statutory framework is available on the Foundation Years website as well as the Department for Education website www.education.gov.uk/publications .

Our caring and passionate team are dedicated to providing the best possible quality Early Years Education where our children feel happy, safe and can excel and achieve their potential academically, socially and emotionally in order to have the best start in life.
