Dear parents and carers,
It is wonderful that this year we are able to celebrate Christmas without all of the restrictions that we had last year and I know that you have all been anticipating the dates of our Christmas celebration events this year and so I am now able to share these with you.
We would like to invite our KS2 parents to attend a carol service in the school hall on either Monday 6th December at 2.30pm or 2.30pm on Thursday 9th December. We will need to limit attendance to 2 adults per child in KS2 please due to room and younger siblings will be able to attend if you have no childcare available. Please arrive at 2.15pm and we will start to get you seated. Please contact the office to notify them of which date you will be attending in KS2.
The Nursery and EYFS Nativity will be held at 2pm on Monday 13th December. Again, we will need to limit the attendance to 2 adults per child please and younger siblings may attend. Please start to arrive at 1.45pm so we have time to seat you before the performance starts.
For our KS1 Nativity, we will have two showings. The first will be at 2pm on Tuesday 14th December and the second will be on Wednesday 15th December at 9.15am. Due to the two showings, this event will be ticketed and so you will need to contact the academy office to collect tickets for the date that you would like to attend. We will need to limit these to 2 tickets per family and tickets will be given out on a first come first served basis. Due to the capacity in the hall, numbers will need to be limited overall. Please arrive at 1.45pm for the Tuesday performance and at 9am for the Wednesday performance so we can get you seated. Younger siblings may attend but do not need a ticket. Please present the tickets when you arrive to attend the events.
Wednesday 15th December will also be our Christmas jumper day and so all children can wear a Christmas jumper but with their school trousers or skirts please. They will also have Christmas dinner on this day and the PTA have kindly organised for Santa to visit too. All KS1 children can still wear their Christmas jumpers as they will change into Nativity costumes in school.
On Thursday 16th December, Mrs Drobka has kindly planned our Christmas activity day that we hold each year and this will be a day of fun-filled activities relating to their learning about Christmas and I’m sure they’ll have some treats to bring home that they would have made on the day.
On the last day of term, we will be running our PEPA Talent show for our children to celebrate and show their fellow pupils and teachers their other talents, whether it be singing, dancing, playing an instrument, amongst a lot of other brilliant talents that I’m sure they have. This event will be held in school only so parents will not be able to attend but it would be great if you could encourage your children to put themselves forward for our auditions that will take place during school time.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing with you our Christmas celebrations.
Kind regards,
Mrs L Rimmer | Principal
