Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope that you enjoyed our open events this week and that you all have a restful half term break. Remember that we are closed for two weeks and so the children will return to school on Monday 8th November.

On Monday 8th November at 2.15pm, we are offering a National Online Safety workshop for parents with Mrs Drobka. This will guide you through the elements of keeping children safe online and on devices as well as go to videos for you to watch to further support this and to also explore the platform that you as parents have access to.

We are also pleased to announce that we can now offer an after school club on a Friday starting on the first week back after half term, meaning that the first Friday that we can offer this is Friday 12th November and will continue for the rest of the academic year. If you want a place in either breakfast club or after school club for next term then please do let Mrs Fenner or Mrs Dyke in the school office know as soon as possible.

We have individual pupil photos and with siblings on Friday 12th November so please ensure that the children are dressed smart and have their full uniform on for this date.

On Monday 15th November, we will be celebrating ‘Children In Need’ so the children can come into school with their Pudsey ears on, face paints and wearing yellow or spots.  We would normally celebrate this on Friday but as we have pupil photographs on that day, so we thought we’d celebrate this on Monday instead.  We would ask for a donation of £1 which will sent off to support the charities and to find out more information, please see their website, https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/

Our virtual parents evening events will be held on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th November and further information about this will be sent out in the first week back. From previous feedback, we have decided to keep this virtual as there have been opportunities for you to see the children’s work in our open events.  If you have not been able to attend these, please let your child’s class teacher know and they can organise some work to be sent home to you.

We have had a fabulous term and are very proud of all that our children have achieved and we look forward to seeing you all in term 2.

Kind regards,

Mrs L Rimmer
Principal
